The University of Banja Luka successfully implemented four cycles of the “Advanced Lean Six Sigma” course from April to June 2026, aimed at the professional development of employees from the industry sector. The courses were attended by employees of the companies “EL PROMET” Laktaši, “LANACO” Banja Luka, “KOLEKTOR CCL” (Laktaši, Srbac and Prijedor) “MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia” Laktaši, “TIKT Manufaktura” Gradiška, “PMP Jelšingrad-FMG” Gradiška, and “PMP Drive Systems” Laktaši. Upon completion of the training, 34 participants received certificates confirming the successful completion of the course. At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka, three cycles of the “LEAN Fundamental Course” were successfully implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ DERHE project. The courses were attended by fourth-year students of the Manufacturing Engineering and Mechatronics study programmes, as well as students of the Master’s programme in Industrial Engineering. The training was conducted from March to May 2026, and upon completion, students received certificates confirming the successful completion of the course. On July 9, 2026, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka, the final theses of students Sofia Grbić and Jovan Ćalić were successfully defended. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) development is latest business activity of the company M-Code doo. Many components of UAV are fabricated by 3D printing. Mechanical properties of materials used for fabrication of this components are of crucial importance. Since mechanical properties of the same filament produced by different manufacturers could significantly differ, company needs deeper insight in mechanical properties of filaments produced by different manufacturers in order to choose manufacturers which offers filaments with the best mechanical properties which would result in reduction of failure of UAV components fabricated by 3D printing.
